Radek Šidla is a language service provider and project manager.
In 2003, after his return to his home country, the Czech Republic, he started working for Škoda Auto a.s. and other clients in the field of language services in addition to his artistic activities.
From 2004 he worked as a freelance interpreter for Siemens kolejová vozidla s.r.o.
His co-operation with Škoda Auto a.s. began in 2006, initially as a freelance interpreter for Volkswagen Anlagenbau GmbH. In the summer of 2006, he moved to Škoda Auto a.s. and received his first contract as a language service provider for Škoda Auto a.s. This co-operation lasted for almost 20 years. In the automotive sector, he worked in various production areas (pressing tools, body shop, paint shop and final assembly). In addition to technology, he has also repeatedly dealt with legal issues (contracts, tenders, complaints).
In 2008, he founded his own translation agency, TRANSLATION CENTER SIDLA.
From 2008 to 2011, he worked for Volkswagen Bratislava in Slovakia, where he was responsible for the paint shop and final assembly on a long-term basis.
At Škoda Auto a.s. he has successfully completed dozens of interpreting and translation projects for various major suppliers (TMS Austria GmbH, Schuler Pressen AG, Dürr AG, Werner Maschinenbau GmbH etc.).
In 2007, he began working with the metal processing company CDS Holding s.r.o., which he represented as a freelance key account manager in the DACH region and France for over 10 years from 2009.
In 2015, he played a key role in setting up the joint venture between Werner Maschinenbau GmbH and BK Technic s.r.o. that came about.
In 2018, he supported Werner Maschinenbau GmbH and BK Technic s.r.o. in preparing offers and obtaining orders from Volkswagen AG. From spring 2019, he managed this large-volume multi-system project in Poland. The project was completed in spring 2020 after acceptance of the last production system.
Since 2020, he has been working in the field of language services and consulting. At UEPA, he is building on his previous work in both areas.
