The European Commission met the requests of the Czech Republic and a number of other member states and increased the overall limit for financial state aid aimed at mitigating the economic consequences of the Covid pandemic under the so-called Temporary Framework.

The upper limit for financial support paid out by the EU member states of EUR 800.000 has been increased to EUR 1.800.000 per entrepreneur/company.

Furthermore, the Temporary Framework has been extended until 31 December 2021.

EU Member States can now adapt existing aid measures in line with the above changes.
