The Czech government decided on 29 November 2021 to extend the state-funded subsidy programme Antivirus A until 28 February 2022. This programme provides financial support for employers whose employees have been ordered to quarantine or isolate due to covid-19 and therefore were unable to work. The maximum contribution is set at 80 % of the employee’s wage, including social security contributions, and may not exceed CZK 39,000 per employee per month.
Furthermore, the government has also reactivated Antivirus B, which will also provide employers with a subsidy for wage compensation paid to employees due to a decline in sales. Antivirus B applies for the period from 1 November 2021 to 28 February 2022. Under this programme, the amount of the contribution is 60 % of the wage compensation paid, including insurance premiums, up to a maximum of CZK 29,000 per month per employee.
Applications for the programmes can be submitted via the website of the Czech Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
