We would like to inform you that on 19 February 2022 the Methodological Guideline for Regional Health Stations regarding changes in the duration of isolation will come into force.

Isolation ordered by the regional health station will be for a minimum of 7 days, calculated as „day zero“ plus the following 7 calendar days. As ,,day zero“ is considered the date of collection of the diagnostic sample. Isolation is ordered to persons with a positive PCR test result and to persons showing symptoms of covid-19 with a positive result of RAT test performed by a health services worker.

Isolation shall be terminated for persons who have not shown clinical signs of covid-19 disease for the duration of the isolation, after a minimum of 7 days from ‚day zero‘. Should the isolation be ordered to persons showing symptoms of covid-19 with based on a positive result of a RAT test performed by a health services worker, the isolation shall end on the date of the receipt of the negative PCR test result. Termination of isolation will also apply to persons showing clinical signs of covid-19 disease after a period of at least 2 days during which the person has not any more shown symptoms of covid-19. Isolation shall continue for the duration of clinical symptoms if their persistence cannot be otherwise explained. The total period of isolation shall not be less than 7 days from the date of its initiation.

Exempted from the isolation are non-symptomatic persons who have had laboratory-confirmed covid-19 disease, the period of ordered isolation has elapsed, and no more than 30 days from the positive PCR test which was the reason for the isolation have passed.
