The Czech government has announced that it will not ask the Chamber of Deputies for a further extension of the state of emergency. The state of emergency should therefore end on 11 April 2021. Along with the end of the state of emergency, some of the currently applicable restrictions concerning retail will also be repealed. From 12 April 2021, it will be permitted to reopen the business premises of

  • stores of children’s fashion and children’s shoes
  • stationery shops
  • launderettes
  • reverential goods shops
  • sales stalls in markets and mobile establishments in case they sell grocery which is not intended for immediate consumption

Other restrictions in the retail sector will apply as before.
