We would like to specify the new measures presented by the Czech Government, effective from 28 October 2020, 0:00 am until 3 November 2020, 23:59.
- A general ban on retail sales and the provision of services in establishments falling under the Trade Act on Sundays and from Mondays to Saturdays between 8:00 pm and 4:59 am. The ban does not apply to gas stations, pharmacies, and shops at airports, train stations and bus stations or medical facilities.
- A restriction of movement outdoors between 9 pm and 4:59 am. Exceptions include activities such as going to work but do certainly not include shopping.
- Employers are ordered to use home office where possible in regard of type of work and business. It is primarily up to the employer to assess whether or not to home office is possible for an individual employee.
The government has also approved the extension of the employment support program Antivirus B until the end of the year, i.e. until 31 December 2020.
Furthermore, we would like to inform certain of our clients that furniture, carpets and other floor coverings are not considered household goods, which have an exception from the retail sales ban.
