At yesterday’s government meeting, a law amending the so-called Lex COVID was approved, i.e. the law on measures to mitigate the effects of the coronavirus epidemic on litigants, legal entities and others. The adopted amendments relate mainly to the area of insolvency and are as follows:
- resumption of the possibility to use the so-called extraordinary moratorium under specific conditions of protection, until June 30th, 2021;
- extension of the courts’ inability to annul an approved debt relief in insolvency proceedings, in which the decision on the debtor’s bankruptcy was issued until May 31st, 2019, due to non-fulfilment of the repayment schedule;
- extension of the courts’ restriction to enforce orders on forced sale of real estate, until February 28th, 2021.
